The Supplier Diversity committee works closely with the NGLCC to certify businesses who are 51% or more LGBT owned. The committee works to assist member businesses as they move through the in-depth certification process and have certified 15+ members to date. This certification earns members a place in the NGLCC’s national supplier directory of over 400+ certified businesses making the NGLCC the largest LGBT business development organization in the world. Corporations look to this directory to diversify their supplier base and award contracts to minority-owned businesses. Multiple Mid-America GLCC members have seen this certification pay off in the form of new contracts.

In 2012 I established Macher Logistics because I knew the LGBT community needed a Freight Brokerage dedicated to our community.  I was introduced to the Mid-America GLCC who quickly accepted Macher Logistics as a member.  I quickly discovered that the MAGLCC is dedicated to the success of LGBT owned businesses to strengthen our community.  After Dan Nilsen spoke at the chamber event I was proud, enthusiastic, and dedicated. In 2015 Macher Logistics received its first corporate contract.  Without the dedication of the MAGLCC the doors to this corporate contract would have remained closed.  I will forever be thankful to the entire staff of the MAGLCC.
